Luxury third! The SULO is pure warmth to weight efficiency for the experienced hiker who prioritizes performance over do-it-all versatility.

A hybrid between a quilt and a bag, the SULO's mummy shaped leg/foot section is closed from the bottom up to near butt level, with the much shorter open underside controlled by our draft fighting ETC. Together with an aggressively shaped, body hugging differential cut and the proven Nunatak down tech of narrow tapered vertical baffles properly filled, the SULO is efficient, simple to use, yet as light as they come.

At a true shoulder width of 52" the SULO is similar in girth to a size 'regular' from other brands, and good up to about 48" shoulder circumference. This size range (~52") is a poor choice for beginners getting their first quilt. The SULO is aimed at weight conscious experts not needing excessive features and who understand quilts and their cons.

Choosing the oversized 58" width is recommended for bigger folks, broad shouldered side sleepers, etc.

The length recommendations outlined in the charts results in a neck to chin high fit. The use of additional head insulation is needed.

Product Options
Temperature Rating

The rating reflects the lowest temperature during which a well conditioned hiker can expect to remain comfortable throughout a full night. Adequate shelter and ground pad must be used.

40°F / 5°C. Includes differential cut
30°F / 0°C. Includes differential cut
25°F / -4°C. Includes differential cut
Inside Length
Shoulder Width
The true width after stuffing and finishing.
Outer Shell Fabric

Take note that Black is ½ ounce lighter than the rest, and the one the charts are based on.

Liner Fabric
10d Black Taffeta - Lightest, most breathable
Down Type

We use 900 fill power goose down, certified responsibly sourced.

Hyper-Dry moisture resistant down will help combat the effects of perspiration, misting tents and damp air. Nunatak products made with Hyper-Dry down will have a slight increase in bulk over those made with untreated down.

Strap Package
This option consists of one or two elastic cords and cord locks, pulling the quilt together under the user on the coldest nights
Edge Tension Control

This design involves two user adjustable shock cords running lengthwise along the left and right quilt edges. On cold nights tension the cords to shorten the edges and draw them under you; during milder conditions completely slacken the cords to have the blanket throw feel.

Down Overfill
Adding overfill can prolong the life of the down, help maintain loft during moist conditions, boost the temperature rating by a small amount and keep the down volume from shifting. The amount depends on the product, the size and the rating.

Stuff Sack
Our stuff sacks are pretty dope, but current weight saving trends in ultralight circles eschews this once crucial item. So, opt out and save $ while also being very current.
