Luxury third! The SULO is pure warmth to weight efficiency for the experienced hiker who prioritizes performance over do-it-all versatility.
A hybrid between a quilt and a bag, the SULO's mummy shaped leg/foot section is closed from the bottom up to near butt level, with the much shorter open underside controlled by our draft fighting ETC. Together with an aggressively shaped, body hugging differential cut and the proven Nunatak down tech of narrow tapered vertical baffles properly filled, the SULO is efficient, light and simple to use, yet as light as they come.
At a true shoulder width of 52" the SULO is similar in girth to a size 'regular' from other brands, and good up to about 48" shoulder circumference. This size range (~52") is a poor choice for beginners getting their first quilt. The SULO is aimed at weight conscious experts not needing excessive features and who understand quilts and their cons.
The length recommendations outlined in the charts results in a neck to chin high fit. The use of additional head insulation is needed.
