The JMT Pullover is our lightest insulated shell. Designed for summer layering in the mountains, it's named after the classic John Muir Trail in the Sierra

Features

The JMT is a hooded/ non-hooded pullover with a deep, venting ½ zipper. Deselect for 19g savings (M) over chart values

Optional roomy Kangaroo hand-warmer pocket, Alpha Direct insulated to save bulk and weight. Deselect for 15g savings (M) over chart values

The hood casing and waist hem have fully adjustable shockcords

The sleeve ends have no elastic, but comes with thumb loops

Warmth

With base layers most users should have static comfort at about 5°C

The insulation represents over 50% of the total weight

Designed loft is 4.5cm, real life loft varies but is always less

A sewn-thru design will increase its insulating properties if used under a lightweight wind shell, trapping additional air in the baffle depressions 

Utility

This is not an 'Active Insulation' layer. Using while wearing a pack will trap perspiration, quickly flattening the down

10d fabrics. More durable options available on menu

900 fill power goose down with Alpha Direct in select areas

Sewn thru non-box baffled construction allow efficient use of small amounts of down

Non-separating zipper prolong the life of the garment while making it easier to handle in strong winds

Sizing

The pullover is based on the pattern from the long gone Apex JMT, ie same fit: Roomy enough for light layering

The summer conditions in the Sierra and Colorado Rockies this puffy is aimed for are not cold enough to mess with a hood and kangaroo pocket - both can be deselected in the options table below
